Apple – basil lassi
Ingredients
- 1 apple, peeled, cored, chopped
- 250 g Greek yogurt
- 100 ml mineral water, sparkling
- 1 tbsp runny honey (optional)
- 1 lime (or lemon), finely grated zest
- handful of basil leaves, shredded
- pinch of salt
Method
- Combine apple, yogurt, mineral water, honey (if used) and lime zest, blend until smooth. Add shredded basil leaves and salt, blend again. Pass through a fine-meshed sieve. Serve chilled.
Variations
If spicy food is not a problem, a dash of tabasco sauce (or other hot chili sauce) works well in this lassi.
