Creamy honey - basil sauce

If you feel like giving pasta a try, perhaps with some small pasta shapes, this sauce is a very good candidate. It is also a tasty lubricant for many other dishes, at all temperatures.

  1. Blend basil leaves, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan, oil, honey and lemon juice to a smooth puree. In a saucepan heat cream and chicken stock, add basil puree and bring to the boil. Reduce heat slightly and simmer for about 30 minutes until sauce starts to thicken.
