Date milkshake
Ingredients
- 8 soft dried dates, stones removed and chopped
- 500 ml milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- pinch of ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp runny honey
Method
- In a saucepan, bring milk, dates and spices to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, blend to a smooth consistency, pass through a fine-meshed sieve. Add a little honey if not sweet enough. Serve at your preferred temperature, sprinkled with a little extra ground cinnamon.
