Marinated fried halloumi

Serve with some fruit or vegetable jelly or mousse

Method

  1. Cut halloumi in slices, mix oil with chopped herbs and pour over halloumi. Marinate for several hours.
  2. Melt a knob of butter in pan, remove halloumi from marinade, pad dry (and remove herbs bits, if so inclined). Gently heat in molten butter.

Variations

  1. Also works with feta cheese or tofu. Strain the marinade and use aromatic oil for other preparations/cooking.
