Smoked salmon mousse
The chives add a nice fresh taste; if ‘bits’ in your food are a problem, just omit the chives or replace by some finely chopped shallot, added before the mixture is blended.
Ingredients
- 250 g smoked salmon, finely chopped
- 4 tbsp Philadelphia (or other) cream cheese
- 1 tbsp cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tbsp finely chopped chives (or ½ finely chopped shallot)
- salt, white pepper
Method
- Combine smoked salmon, lemon juice and cream cheese (plus chopped shallot, if used), blend to a smooth consistency. Season to taste, add chives and mix well (if used). Chill for 30 minutes, serve immediately.
