White chocolate mousse
Serve with your favourite fruit compote or puree, or with a nice cup of coffee / tea – or coffee / tea jelly, if that is preferred.
Ingredients
- 75 g white chocolate, chopped
- 75 ml whipping cream, whipped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp orange zest, finely grated
- 2 tbsp cognac
Method
- In a bowl, melt the chocolate over a hot water bath, set aside. In another bowl, combine egg, orange zest and cognac. Place over the hot water bath and whisk until pale and fluffy. Add melted white chocolate, mix well. Set aside to let cool, stir occasionally. Fold in whipped cream. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
