Cancer

The term cancer covers a number of different malignancies relevant to the head and neck region. The treatment of these different diseases is discussed in individual sections.

Treatment of mouth (oral) cancer, facial skin cancer and cancer of the salivary glands are all described here in separate sections (laryngeal and oro-pharyngeal cancer are  not detailed here).

In addition, the treatment of malignant bone lesions, malignancies affecting the blood or lymph systems or nerve tissues are described in other sections on the website.

The treatment of malignancies in the head and neck region that occur as secondary tumours (metastases) from tumours elsewhere in the body is also included.
