Upper arm
Treatment of postoperative problems affecting the upper arm include:
- Scar modification.
- Poor healing of split skin grafts may need grafting themselves, or other scar improvement techniques.
- Nerve repair if the radial nerve is damaged during the rarely used free flap, the lateral upper arm flap.
- Counterirritation or similar techniques for loss of sensation or unpleasant sensation around the elbow which happens when this flap is harvested.
